“Hi! I am so excited to be the Executive Director of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse of Southlake!
I have been devoted to Early Childhood Education for the past 12 years. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Childhood Intervention. After graduating, I worked as an Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist. I then wanted to try my hand in the classroom as a teacher. After teaching for several years I was given the opportunity to become a preschool director and I haven’t looked back. My true passion is working hands-on with children and families. I want to be the best advocate for your child while providing a loving, trusting and safe environment. I look forward to meeting every one of you and creating lasting relationships.
On a personal note, I grew up in Colleyville and now live in North Richland Hills with the two loves of my life, my husband Josh and our two-year-old son Levi. In our spare time, we love being outdoors, spending time at the lake and fishing!
I feel one of the keys to a great school is communication. My door is always open and I will always be available to our LSP families and staff. I look forward to meeting you all!”
“Hello! I originally grew up in California and relocated to Rogers, Arkansas in 2006. Rogers is where I began my career with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse. I was given the opportunity to transfer to our Southlake location as the Assistant Director in Fall 2016. Then in 2019, I was promoted to Co-Director. Transferring from the Rogers LSP location, I understand the time and dedication it takes for a preschool to succeed. I want what every parent, teacher, and child strives for, which is meeting and exceeding education goals in a safe, warm, and nurturing environment. I want to emphasize the importance of transparency and communication. Therefore, I want every parent and staff member to know that I thrive on an open door policy. I believe that it is imperative to the success of our preschool. All children, parents, and staff are welcome to meet with me in person, call, or email me.
Words cannot begin to explain the joy and excitement that I feel to be part of the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse Southlake team and I can’t wait to meet your family and show how truly magical LSP is!”
“Hi! My name is Jenny and I am very excited to be the Co-Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool. When I started as LSP I was welcomed as the Pre-K Teacher and when my students were promoted to kindergarten I was promoted to Head Teacher! After putting in the time and effort to learn about the management of a successful school, I was offered the position of Co-Director and I couldn’t be happier to lead such a wonderful staff of educators! I have an Associates in Child Development and have worked with children of all ages; in 2001 I became a licensed director and have been in the childcare industry for over 25 years. I knew from the very first year this was the path for me!
On a personal note, I have two wonderful children who are very successful in their careers and we are very close, it was because of them that I became a teacher in childcare, to begin with. On my free time, I love to read and look for new ways to inspire my team at LSP!”
“LSP Southlake has treated my son like their own. Being my first child, I was very apprehensive to leave him and go back to work and they have alleviated all my worries. It’s amazing what he learns everyday and I honestly attribute his advanced educational development to the wonderful staff and teachers. I can not recommend LSP enough!” – The McCool Family
“I can’t describe how wonderful this school is in one review. From the teachers to the management staff, the creative and engaging events they plan, the activities you can engage your child in to grow and prosper their little minds, and the fact that this school makes you feel like home. I cannot imagine taking my child somewhere else. I have been bringing my son to LSP over 2 + years. I have seen the school go through some growing pains in the beginning just as other new schools do. However, with the staff that has been in place now for almost a year, the school is at its best. Mom’s… the choice is so indescribably hard when you have to choose a preschool/daycare, let me make it easy for you. This is it! Thank you Becky, Emi, Jenny, Shalonda, Erica, Lynda, etc ( I am missing others for sure) for always making my son and my family feel safe, welcomed, and loved.” – The Kardokus Family
“We feel very lucky to be part of the LSP community. The teachers, who are seriously the backbone and soul of the school are nothing short of FANTASTIC!! We can go to work knowing our child is getting the absolute best care and guidance as the learn and play. In the 2 years our son has gone to LSP they have literally become a second family for not only him but our family as a whole. The administrative staff is always available to ask questions or even seek guidance from. It’s a warm, loving, caring, and wonderful environment for your little ones to learn all while feeling nurtured and safe to explore each new age/stage” – The Morgan Family
“From the many choices of daycare centers around DFW, this one definitely stood out. From the multiple creative activities, to the healthy meals throughout the day, it’s been a blessing to be a part of the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse family! My kids both enjoy going there and I have full visibility to their daily activities and schedules. I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a safe, clean and fun place that truly takes care of their children.” – Andrew S.
“This is my daughter’s first preschool experience. When she first started going she had a tough transitional period. Her teachers worked with her and helped make the adjustment as smooth as possible.” – The Peterson Family
