“Hello, my name is Stacy. I am the Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Springfield at Chestnut and Area Manager of our Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas schools. I will be celebrating five years with LSP this coming year.
I have a graduate degree in Elementary Education specializing in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I started my career teaching second grade at a Title I school and then transitioned into a fourth-grade classroom at a private school. I taught for five wonderful years prior to moving to Springfield. Upon moving to Springfield, I taught a summer school-aged classroom ranging from children aged five to twelve.
Education and psychology are both passions of mine and I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to apply that experience and knowledge to the LSP community; all while learning from the teachers, children and leadership team on a daily basis. My teaching philosophy includes the importance of teaching to the “whole child” and building on the individual strengths that children bring to the classroom. I love meeting and building relationships with the parents and families of LSP.
On a more personal note, I moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Springfield about eight years ago and married in 2013. My husband and I have a two and a half-year-old; Zoe, who is the light of our life. She also attends Little Sunshine’s. We are so fortunate that Zoe is surrounded by such caring, loving and passionate teachers’ day in and day out. We also enjoy spending time with family and friends. We are a divided football household, as I am a Raiders fan and my husband a Chiefs fan. However, we both love Cardinals baseball. Go Redbirds!”
“Hi! My name is Hannah. I have been working with children in the field of Early Childhood Education since graduating from high school in 2007. I received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hendrix College and will be graduating with my Master’s degree in Teaching in May 2019. I have lived in Fayetteville, AR with my husband since 2015 and welcomed our first baby boy, Thomas (a future Little Sunshine’s student!), in May 2018. Since moving to NWA in 2015, I have worked in a Montessori school setting both as a teacher and as a Director. I’m very passionate about working closely with teachers and parents to promote positive learning environments for young students and I am eager to begin my role as Program Director for the Rogers location. My family and I love to hike and camp, play tennis, and attend as many Razorback games as possible!”
“Hello! My name is Heather, I am the Assistant Director here at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse of Rogers. My passion for the early childhood education blooms from the desire to make a difference in the lives of children, their families and to the community as a whole.
I have over 12 years of Early Childhood Experience and 10 years of experience in team building. I received my Montessori Early Childhood Development Diploma in 2014 and I believe in helping a young child love learning something that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. I pride myself on being upbeat, helpful, and driven.
My husband and I are Fayetteville natives who are excited to welcome our second child in January. We enjoy painting, anything outdoors, and spending time with our 9-year-old son, Gavin. I am very excited to be joining the LSP family and can’t wait to get to know each of you and your sweet children!”
“Our 2-year-old daughter started attending Little Sunshine’s about a month ago and she absolutely loves it (and we do too)! She has been thriving with her learning and her speech has improved tremendously since she started attending. It makes me feel good that when I pick her up in the afternoon she asks me ‘why did you come and get me?’ We love the communication we get each day on what she did, what she learned, how her mood was, & how/what she ate. We are so glad that we chose LSP and would recommend it to any parent wanting to send their child somewhere clean, fun, safe and that values teaching the kids while they are there!” – Jason K.
“We have not attended long but it only took one day and my 2 1/2 year old started running in excited and ready for the day. When I pick him up he is smiling and tells me all about his day. The staff has been very friendly and helpful! The facility has always been clean regardless of the time of day I visit.” – The Lee Family
“I could go on and on about how amazing LSP-Rogers is. Making the decision of a daycare for our first child was no easy task. We toured and visited pretty much all of the daycares in the area before making a decision. LSP- Rogers has done nothing but prove we made the right decision over and over again. We even debated if daycare was the best decision compared to a Nanny. Her teachers (all of them and the Directors) are all like a nanny to her. We were worried that she wouldn’t get the attention needed as a newborn with a class full of other babies and we have been overjoyed with the closeness we feel with her teachers. They always tell us about her day and make sure that anything we ask is taken care of. The daily report we receive about her entire day along with pictures and the security cameras were just the reassurance this OCD mama needed. Our expectations were honestly probably a bit unrealistic and LSP-Rogers has exceeded them in every single way. If you are looking for a daycare I would highly recommend!” – The Fields Family
