“Hello, my name is Stacy. I recently celebrated 4 years with LSP!
I have a graduate degree in Elementary Education specializing in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I started my career teaching second grade at a Title I school and then transitioned into a fourth-grade classroom at a private school. I taught for five wonderful years prior to moving to Springfield. Upon moving to Springfield I taught a summer school-aged classroom ranging from children aged five to twelve.
Education and psychology are both passions of mine and I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to apply that experience and knowledge to the LSP community; all while learning from the teachers, children and leadership team on a daily basis. My teaching philosophy includes the importance of teaching to the “whole child” and building on the individual strengths that children bring to the classroom. I love meeting and building relationships with the parents and families of LSP.
On a more personal note, I moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Springfield about seven years ago and married in 2013. My husband and I have a two-year-old; Zoe, who is the light of our life. She also attends Little Sunshine’s. We are so fortunate that Zoe is surrounded by such caring, loving and passionate teachers’ day in and day out. We also enjoy spending time with family and friends. We are a divided football household, as I am a Raiders fan and my husband a Chiefs fan. However, we both love Cardinals baseball. Go Redbirds!”
“Hello! My name is Lindsey, I am the proud Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse & Preschool of Ozark.
I have worked in childcare for more than 15 years and consider it one of my greatest passions. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach infant classrooms all the way through Pre-K and earned the titles “Preschool Classroom of the Year and Outstanding Nature Classroom for Infants.” I have my national certification in early childhood (CDA) and I am currently finishing up my four-year degree in early childhood.
On a personal note, my husband and I live on a farm and love watching hockey and baseball together! Go Blues and Cardinals!! I also enjoy going on long runs and spending time with my family.
I love sharing all my experiences, knowledge, and passion with my staff and our incredible LSP families!”
“Hello, my name is Tonya and I am the Assistant Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Ozark. I am so proud to be a part of the LSP Team! I have been with the company since 2008 and I have learned so much, including that quality childcare is something that is sought after every day! It is my passion to be a part of a company where a high-quality team works together to provide exceptional childcare, and I have found that working for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse.
I am currently working on obtaining my degree in Early Childhood Education and am so happy to be putting it to use with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse.
On a more personal note, my husband and I were married in April of 2014 and have a beautiful daughter who attended LSP when she was younger. I’m so excited to continue my journey with the company and look forward to introducing you to our Little Sunshine’s Playhouse family!”
“I am so happy to have found Little Sunshine’s! My 2 year old has been going there for over 3 months now and the amount of things he has learned has increased drastically. I always feel like I can talk to any of the teachers and I love the fun art projects that they make there too. The director, Stacy, is so kind and is always willing to talk to me about how we can work together on any undesirable toddler behavior that is going on with my son. I also love the fun events that they plan that allow the parents to come in a get to see the kiddos in their environment. They hosted a fun Back to School bash in August and just hosted a fantastic Grandparent’s Day event that my Mom loved! It is also nice to be able to use the webcam to see all the fun he is having a school and I appreciate the detailed online daily reports that are sent out. Keep up the great work LSP!” – The Taft Family
“Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in Ozark is a wonderful preschool! My children have been at Little Sunshines for a total of 5 years. I absolutely recommend this school! They are caring and helpful in every way. The cameras and LuvNotes are the best. I feel so confident and secure with sending my most precious little gifts here. Thank you LSP!” – The Everding Family
“Both of my children have attended LSP, and we’ve had such a great experience! My oldest graduated from the PreK classroom and went into kindergarten with friends she met at LSP and with the knowledge that set her up for success in the classroom. My youngest comes home with new skills almost every day. And they LOVE their teachers and the staff, who are friendly and really care about the children.
All of the extra classes, like the soccer, dance, and gymnastics, that the children can participate in are great, especially for working parents who may not always be able to make these classes during the week.
The communication is top-notch, from the daily updates on how my child is doing at school to school updates from the director and the cameras; if you want to stay informed with how your child is doing throughout the day, LSP makes it easy and possible. I would recommend LSP to anyone (and I have!) looking for quality childcare that is both educational and fun.” – The Matteson Family
“Our daughter has been attending Little Sunshine’s Playhouse & Preschool in Ozark for the past 2 years and we couldn’t be happier! She LOVES going to “school” and we are constantly amazed at the growth that she shows. I cannot thank the teachers and staff enough for taking such wonderful care of my little girl. I love the daily updates (both the emails from the director and the LuvNotes) we get and having the ability to “check-in” via the secure camera site is wonderful! I will admit, I don’t check the cameras as much as I used to, because I know how happy my daughter is and that she is in wonderful hands! I am so, so happy that we made the choice to send her to Little Sunshine’s in Ozark!” – The Miller Family
