The Dahler’s are the founders and franchisors of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, and the owners of this individual school location. It is the pursuit of “something much better” in early childhood education for their own children that guides and shapes each of the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse schools. Matt and Rochette are dedicated and proud parents of Gillian, Riley and Paxon. Each of their children has thrived with the social and educational components that Little Sunshine’s Playhouse has provided for them from birth to Kindergarten. The entire family cherishes those early years, preschool memories and first friendships.
To say The Dahler’s live, sleep and breathe Little Sunshine’s Playhouse is an understatement. The mission and culture of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse is truly an extension of the family’s values and visa versa. Their passion is to continually redefine the standard of early childhood education and share their love and dedication for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse with other families and children across the country.
“Hello my name is Stacy Shepard. I am the Director of the LSP Ozark location. I am celebrating three years with LSP in April 2018!
I have a graduate degree in Elementary Education specializing in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology. I started my career teaching second grade at a Title I school and then transitioned into a fourth grade classroom at a private school. I taught for five wonderful years prior to moving to Springfield. Upon moving to Springfield I taught a summer school aged classroom ranging from children aged five to twelve. Presently, I am completing a Doctoral Degree in Leadership in Higher Education.
Education and psychology have both been passions of mine and I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to apply that experience and knowledge to the LSP community; all while learning from the teachers, children and leadership team on a daily basis. My teaching philosophy includes the importance of teaching to the “whole child” and building on the individual strengths that children bring to the classroom. I love meeting and building relationships with the parents and families of LSP.
On a more personal note, I moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Springfield about five years ago and married in 2013. My husband and I have a 9 month old; Zoe, who is the light of our life. She also attends Little Sunshine’s. We are so fortunate that Zoe is surrounded by such caring, loving and passionate teachers day in and day out. We also enjoy spending time with family and friends. We are a divided football household, as I am a Raiders fan and my husband a Chiefs fan. However, we both love Cardinals baseball. Go Redbirds!”
“Hello, my name is Tonya Wells and I am the Assistant Director at our Ozark location. I am so proud to be a part of the LSP Team! It is my passion to be a part of a company where a high quality team works together to provide exceptional childcare, and I have found that working for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse!
I am currently working on obtaining my degree in Early Childhood Education and am so happy to be putting it to use with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse! For the last 5 years, I have been working closely with Joyce and look forward to growing and learning more and more each day.
On a more personal note, Little Sunshine’s Playhouse has been such a blessing to my family! My husband and I were married in April of 2014 and have a beautiful 7 year old daughter who attended LSP when she was younger. I’m so excited to continue my journey with the company and look forward to introducing you to our Little Sunshine’s Playhouse family!”
