Hi! My name is Jackie, I am the Program Director for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse of Overland Park!
I started with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse of Leawood in August of 2012 as the Lead teacher for the Pre-K room, but was quickly promoted to Assistant Director in the fall of 2012. After spending a couple years as the Assistant Director and learning from our leadership teams I became the Program Director in spring of 2015. After given the opportunity to adopt my two boys, I transferred to the Overland Park location in the fall of 2017 to continue my love and passion for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse as the Assistant Director.
I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Child Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Liberty University. Prior to joining the team at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, I taught three and four-year-olds for six years. I look forward to partnering with you and your family to see your child learn and grow.
Outside of work I spend a lot of time with my family. I have two little boys who are the loves of my life. You can usually catch us spending the day at the zoo, the park, or making cookies together. I also enjoy reading any book I can get my hands on, and hanging out with my friends.
I am excited to be a part of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and to provide an awesome preschool experience for you and your family!
I started with Little Sunshine’s in August of 2013 as the Assistant Pre-K Teacher. I was quickly promoted to the Lead Pre-K teacher. I fell in love with LSP. I knew that I wanted to continue to grow with this amazing company, and that I wanted to get into management. After about four years with LSP I was promoted to the Assistant Director position in Fall of 2017. Prior to joining the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse team, I taught two, three, and four-year-olds. I have always had a passion for Early Childhood, and I am very excited to continue growing with this amazing company. I look forward to building relationships with you and your child, and watching them hit developmental milestones!
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family & friends! I am the oldest of four sisters, so I grew up with a very close and big family. My adorable niece just turned two, and I love getting to spend quality time with her! I also enjoy the outdoors, shopping, and Netflix!
With 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, five of which were in management I was quickly promoted to Head Teacher. I loved having this chance to be a leader and an advocate for my staff so I knew I wanted to continue to seek professional growth within Little Sunshine’s Playhouse.
As I embark on this new adventure as Assistant Director of LSP of Overland Park I welcome all the new and exciting challenges and experiences. I’m so excited to share this journey with the amazing leadership team, inspiring teaching staff, and the wonderful parents and children who have become family to me.
“I have to say, I’m absolutely in love with this child care center!! I can leave my daughter there with full confidence she is being loved and cared for by everyone there. My daughter can sometimes be a bit emotional at drop off time and they handle it with such professionalism. They are able to redirect her attention and help her find a happy place quickly. Also, the fact that I can tap into the cameras from my smart phone any time is a huge bonus. My husband and I were nervous about daycare but they took all doubt away. We wouldn’t want her anywhere else!!” – The Palmer Family
“Little Sunshine’s Playhouse has been amazing with my almost four year old daughter. The teachers are able to interact and educate in such creative and innovative ways. The kids are always learning through lessons, creative play, art, dance, and interactive Ipad videos. I love how the monthly themes play into the lessons each week. The center is visually stunning…with the colors and murals and even the unique playground equipment that truly makes you feel like you are in a castle. The food that is prepared is second to none…even if my sometimes picky child doesn’t always try it. The LSP staff are wonderful from the owners, directors and teachers. And they always throw in fun little surprises like grab and go breakfast items for parents to say thanks, and even a sock hop last week. The icing on the cake are the cameras that allow you to look in on your child and the report you get each day electronically that let’s you know all about how their day is going along with a photo or video. If you are looking for a place for your little one…definitely give LSP a call!” – The McNeal
“This is by far the best place my husband and I chose for our child. My baby just turned 1 and has never been at a day daycare. We were very anxious as parents hoping to find a place that is safe, hygienic, and a place where she can get love and attention from staff/management. We went to several places but when we entered Little Sunshines Playhouse we knew this was it.
It’s been a month now and my baby is loving it there ! It was not easy the first week as she was experiencing separation anxiety due to being in a new setting and people, but I was so impressed with how well the management, the director, and teachers continued to provide her love and supported us throughout the transition process.
The owner, director, management team, teachers, and all other staff are very friendly and professional. We have never felt uncomfortable or out of place. I highly recommend everyone this center for their child!” – The Saigal Family
