“Hello! I’m Blake, and I’m proud to have been the Program Director here at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Colorado Springs since opening in April 2014. As a military family, my husband and I relocated to Colorado Springs in October of 2013 from Texas, where I grew up and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as almost a decade of experience in this field.
My husband and I have a two-year-old son, Cullen, who attends Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and are expecting our second child, Charlotte, in February 2020 who will also be an attendee of LSP. I have the unique perspective of being the Program Director AND parent at the school and work to use that perspective to help foster positive and meaningful relationships between teachers and families. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you and your families!”
“Hello! My name is Emma and I am the Assistant Director of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Colorado Springs. I started at LSP in 2015 with the infant classrooms and quickly fell in love with the philosophy and passion that this company has for nurturing young children. Since then I worked my way up to Assistant Director through hard work and dedication to our children here in Colorado Springs!
The best part of working for LSP is providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, where they feel comfortable to explore new learning concepts and feel loved. I also love to make everlasting bonds with all the families and support them in whatever they need.
On a personal note, I am originally from England and moved to the US in 2009 with my husband Eddie. I have been working with young children for over 15 years and I am currently working on obtaining my Colorado Director License to further my educational development.
I look forward to getting to know your family better and watching your little one grow and learn here at LSP!”
“This place is amazing. Its worth every penny to know your littles are well taken care of. All the teachers I have encountered have been amazing there is a teacher in Enchanted Forest that showed my son a cool jacket trick on how to put on his jacket and he loves to do it that way now . In Sunnybrook as soon as we walk in , they come to my timid/ shy 2 year old to make him feel better. Blake was SO helpful during enrollment. This place feels like home. Thank you to everyone!” – The Rorie Family
“We have been at little sunshine for over 2 years now. I have always felt like my kids were happy and safe and engaged here. It is the peace of mind I need to be a working mom and that goes a very long way. We will be sad to have my oldest leave for Kindergarten this fall, it has been a good place for our family.” – The Lawhorn Family
