“Hello! My name is Sarah and I am thrilled to serve as the Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in Chesterfield, MO. It has been my privilege to work with children of all ages, from infants to school age, along with their families, in multiple capacities throughout the past 14 years. Upon completing my Bachelor’s degree, I entered the field of early childhood education as a classroom teacher and loved it! After a few years, I returned to graduate school and in 2016 obtained my Master’s degree in Counseling, in which I focused heavily upon early childhood mental health and development.
My connection with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse began in May of 2016 at our University City location. My goal was to work with young children and their families, and I was drawn to Little Sunshine’s philosophy, passion, and dedication to nurturing young children and promoting healthy development. I first began as a classroom teacher, then stepped into the leadership role of Head Teacher, and am now honored to fulfill the position of Program Director!
On a personal note, I enjoy exploring Saint Louis and everything it has to offer! I am a huge musical theater enthusiast and love seeing live productions throughout the area, especially at The Muny! When not at a show, I enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my wonderful husband, Kyle.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family!”
“Hi, there! My name is Jen and I am the proud Program Director of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of O’Fallon. This program is truly top notch and I feel so blessed to be a part of it and I have no doubt you will too!
A little bit about me, I have a BA in English from Truman State University and a Masters in Special Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Throughout my career in early education, I have worked as an assistant, classroom lead, and as the Director of a center caring and educating children with Autism. My true passion is helping others and watching young learners succeed and develop over time with the help of dedicated and passionate early educators who inspire a love of learning each day.
On a personal note, my husband, Mike, and I have a son named Wesley and two pitbulls, Zeus and Archer. We are proud residents of Wentzville, MO and enjoy bike rides, hiking and spending time outside every chance we get!”
“Hello! I graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Development. While in college, I worked as a Teacher Assistant and Pre-K Teacher at the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool in Springfield, Missouri. For the past two years, I have been at LSP – Granite Bay, CA where I had the opportunity to help set-up and open the school. When the announcement for LSP – O’Fallon was made, I knew I wanted to jump at the chance to move back to my hometown of St. Louis, to be closer to family and friends. I am excited to be able to help open another LSP! I’m thrilled to be serving as an Assistant Director again and can’t wait to watch O’Fallon thrive.
I love doing anything outdoors! I am very close with my family and enjoy hanging out with friends and sorority sisters. When I have the time, I love to travel and explore new places. I also enjoy shopping for home décor, swimming and I’m in the process of learning how to cook (it might be a long process)!
Working with kiddos have always been a big passion of mine. I love seeing the kiddos faces light up when they learn or discover something new. I also enjoy being able to be a presence in the children’s lives while helping shape their love for learning.”
“We moved to the city when our daughter was 3.5 years old. She instantly took a liking to the school, administration, teachers and friends. She adapted quickly to the new school and instantly fell in love with her new surroundings. She will be leaving the school this year for Kindergarten and I couldn’t be happier with the experience she received while at Little Sunshine’s. She is loved and cared for, taught by a group of amazing professionals and have achieved everything that I could wish for her in the last year. We will miss you LSP!” – Michaela H. (University City LSP Family)
“We can’t recommend LSP enough. The staff are so loving and respectful of all the kids, and are deeply committed to building a strong school community with a focus on excellence and continuous improvement. They keep the kids so busy, with fun play-based daily curriculum, monthly educational units, and enrichment opportunities (like art, music, science, gym) starting in the infant rooms. Our daughter will enter PreK this year with the third-party assessed academic readiness of a 6.5-year-old. We often find our toddler counting to himself in Spanish these days. The staff are so attentive and willing to work with families to meet all of a child’s unique needs. And the school’s added features like LuvNotes (a daily email including photos, videos, and notes about your child’s day) and the Watch Me Grow system (live video stream from all classrooms and common areas) will calm any parental anxieties. I’m sure I sound like a commercial or something, but we have been so thrilled with our experience there that it’s hard not to brag. Definitely check it out!” – The Rosman Family (University City LSP Family)
