“Hello, my name is Stacy. I am the Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Springfield at Chestnut and Area Manager of our Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas schools. I will be celebrating five years with LSP this coming year.
I have a graduate degree in Elementary Education specializing in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I started my career teaching second grade at a Title I school and then transitioned into a fourth-grade classroom at a private school. I taught for five wonderful years prior to moving to Springfield. Upon moving to Springfield, I taught a summer school-aged classroom ranging from children aged five to twelve.
Education and psychology are both passions of mine and I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to apply that experience and knowledge to the LSP community; all while learning from the teachers, children and leadership team on a daily basis. My teaching philosophy includes the importance of teaching to the “whole child” and building on the individual strengths that children bring to the classroom. I love meeting and building relationships with the parents and families of LSP.
On a more personal note, I moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Springfield about eight years ago and married in 2013. My husband and I have a two and a half year-old; Zoe, who is the light of our life. She also attends Little Sunshine’s. We are so fortunate that Zoe is surrounded by such caring, loving and passionate teachers’ day in and day out. We also enjoy spending time with family and friends. We are a divided football household, as I am a Raiders fan and my husband a Chiefs fan. However, we both love Cardinals baseball. Go Redbirds!”
“Hello, my name is Shelly and I am so happy to be the Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Springfield at Cardinal. I am thrilled to provide our children with the best educational childcare. Building strong, positive relationships with our students, their families and our staff is my top priority as the Program Director. I am delighted to spend my days supporting our teachers, as they help our students develop their self-esteem and the skills needed to be successful in school and later in life.
A little about myself, I have been married to my wonderful husband for over 25 years, and we have a twenty-year-old son. I am very passionate about early childhood education and have been in the field with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse for over 15 years, starting as an assistant teacher, eventually working my way up to Program Director. I currently hold my M.S. degree in Early Childhood and Family Studies.
I look forward to the opportunity of becoming a part of your child’s life and a part of your family.”
“Hello, my name is Anna and I am so excited to be the Assistant Director at our Cardinal location in Springfield, Missouri. I am so happy to be part of your children’s’ and family’s lives.
I found my passion for Early Childhood learning starting in 2013. Since then I’ve worked as the lead teacher for several years. After gaining 6 years of wonderful experience as an early educator, I am thrilled to be the Assistant Director at LSP where I get to provide service to you and your children.
I continuously strive to provide the very best learning experience while still creating lots of fun memories in our program – after all, children learn best through play.
Building strong relationships with my staff to ensure we continue to provide the best care for your child is my personal mission.
A little about myself, I have a wonderful husband that I have been married to for a little over a year. During my free time, I love to spend time at the lake with my friends and family. I love fishing with my dad, and kayaking. My husband and I love to go camping and be outside. Taking vacations and traveling is something I enjoy doing. Hiking in the mountains or swimming in the ocean is what I find the most relaxing.
I look forward to helping create fun and happiness in your child’s life.”
“LSP is fantastic! My son has grown and learned so much since bringing him here. I love the curriculum and extra activities offered. The staff are professional and I feel like they truly care. It’s well run and clean. I’ve never hesitated to leave my child in their care and coming from someone who’s mother watched her baby for his first two years, it’s not easy to do!” – The Sipes Family
“We have had such a great experience sending our daughter to LSP part time! She has been enrolled for over a year and it has been equally beneficial for us and her. All the teachers and staff are so friendly and are actively involved in our daughter’s life. We have such peace of mind when she is there and they are quite affordable as well. Would highly recommend!” – The Waldo Family
“I have nothing but positive things to say about Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and the staff. My daughter has been attending for almost a month now and I feel 100% confident that she is in the best hands and being cared for by the most amazing people! Our experience so far has been above and beyond what I would have ever imagined for a daycare. I love the live streaming video service because I am able to check in on her throughout the day and always end up with a smile on my face because I see the care the teachers give her and the other students. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!” – The Hoff Family
