Our January 2016 Company-Wide Teacher of the Month is Mr. Daniel from University City, Missouri. Daniel is an aid for the school and has designed different sports and game activities for each classroom!

Program Director, Katherine Montgomery and Assistant Director Breanne Campbell had the following to say about Daniel, “We are so excited to nominate the amazing Mr. Daniel as the January company-wide teacher of the month. Mr. Daniel has only been with us for less than two months, and the teachers cannot say enough kind things about him. He always has a smile on his face, is willing to lend a helping hand in any class, happily works the closing shift (which we all know how tough that is!) bring an unparalleled enthusiasm into each classroom, and has already designed sports and games activities to tap into each developmental domain with our students. Parents have also quickly noticed him and have commented on what a wonderful presence he adds to the classroom. In addition, Mr. Daniel is a go-to staff member to help with our more challenging students, as he has a unique ability to calm down almost any student in our building. This school is made so much stronger by having this amazing man in our building, and we are so fortunate to know him. It is without reservation that we strongly recommend Mr. Daniel as one deserving of the company-wide employee of the month.”

Daniel received his Bachelors in Educational Studies from Lindenwood University and has worked for various after school programs and preschools including the YMCA.

Daniel loves the positive energy that surrounds Little Sunshine’s from the students and staff. Because Daniel is an aid for the entire school, he loves being in every classroom, but his favorite classroom to be in in 100 Acre Woods. He loves their energy and enthusiasm that they display day after day. Daniel’s favorite curriculum project that he has done while working for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse is Pom Pom Hockey. The kids scoop up different colored pom poms into squares based on their color. He loved being able to see the kids reaction when they matched the colors correctly!

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys reading, working out, hanging out with friends, and family. Daniel is also a musical fanatic!
