Hello families! My name is Jenn and I am the Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool. I have received my Child Development Associates and have taken several classes in Early Childhood Education. I have been working in Early Childhood Education since 2004, and have been absolutely honored to serve all of the children and families of Little Sunshine’s since July of 2011. I found my love for Early Childhood Education at a young age and have developed a deep passion for helping children reach their maximum potential before heading off to Kindergarten. My favorite thing about working in this field is the opportunity that it gives me to get to know each child as the individual that they are and to build bonds with each and every one of them that lasts a lifetime. The importance of Early Childhood Education and socialization to the development of a young mind is what drives my work every day. I am excited to have the opportunity to meet your family and to look into having you join our Little Sunshine’s family!
Hello Families! My name is Aimee, Assistant Director at the Scottsdale Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool! It is my great pleasure to welcome new families into our school and show them what sets us apart from the rest! I began my journey with Little Sunshine’s in October of 2011 and have worked in the early child care industry for over 9 years. I started at Little Sunshine’s as the Lead Teacher in the Infant Classroom and then went on to become the Lead Teacher in the Toddler Classroom. In this role, I went on to receive the 2014 Company -Wide Teacher of the Year Award. Following this prestigious honor, I was promoted to my current Assistant Director Position. I’m so fortunate to be given the opportunity to build relationships with our families and watch our teachers help students reach new developmental milestones. It was truly an amazing experience being a teacher at Little Sunshine’s and I now have the extreme privilege to guide new teachers and bring students into our Little Sunshine’s family.
“Hello, my name is Latryce and I am the Assistant Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool. My passion for education stated at a young age. I stated my career as an early childhood educator back in 2014.
Once I saw what a huge impact I had on children’s education, I never looked back. I found my way too Little Sunshine’s in February of 2018 and started my journey as an Assistant Teacher in our transition classroom. I shortly found myself in the Pre-k Classroom as the Lead Teacher and accepted the role of Assistant Director in August of 2019. I was so excited to have the opportunity to join our leadership team!
I strongly believe that children learn and grow best when they are in a loving and caring environment, surrounded by teachers and peers that love them and push them to be their very best. My goal is to give your little one the tools they need to succeed in and out of the classroom for years to come.
The best part about my job is seeing children excited about coming to school and are eager to learn something new! I look forward to meeting you and your family!”
“Our son attended Little Sunshine’s for about 3 and a half years, from the transition room at 18months all the way up to his recent Pre K graduation.
It was worth every penny. Every staff member knows him by name, his favorite color, his sibling’s name, they helped him cope with adjusting to the birth of his brother, and potty training and were extra caring and sensitive when I had to travel overseas without him for a month.
People always comment on how well behaved and polite and confident he is which I largely attribute to his time at Little Sunshine’s where he has spent 30 hours a week.
The video function has been amazing and the daily school reports have been the highlight of my workday for years!
We will certainly miss his amazing teachers and I know that Amie, JoJo, Jenn, Lily, Kellianne and Share will always hold a special place in his heart.” – Carrie Y.
“After searching far and wide for a daycare for my two-year-old, I stumbled on Little Sunshine’s. My husband and I went for a tour and I fell in love immediately. My first thought was, “Wow! This doesn’t have the normal daycare smell. “It’s clean, but I’m not tasting Lysol to cover the poop smell clean.”
As a teacher myself, the curriculum is important to me. I wanted play based learning…and that is exactly what we got. He spent the day exploring the world around him, using his imagination, and building relationships with teachers and kiddos.
The class sizes are small and the LuvNotes program sold me. Who doesn’t want pictures and updates of their kids day…especially a nervous mama going back to work. I loved that I could check in on him at any time too! Little Sunshine’s also offers extras without the extra price tag! Yoga classes, parent nights out, and P.E. are just a few of my favorites!
If you’re looking for a small setting for your kiddo, I strongly suggest you check them out.” – Kayla E.
“Wonderful people, great facility, we always know the kiddos are in good hands!” – The Potekhen Family
“Love this place. The staff and teachers are amazing. They really take time to develop our little ones. My son loves to go there every morning…. It’s so much more than a daycare.” – The Facarazzo Family
