Little Sunshine’s Playhouse
& Preschool® of Claremont opened in 2008 and was the second Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in Springfield, Missouri. The school is located in the Southeast part of Springfield off Battlefield Rd. behind Metropolitan Grill.
Our all-inclusive, private preschool program provides educational child care to children ages 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten in the Springfield, Rogersville, and Nixa communities.
In order to cater to your family’s unique child care needs, we offer a variety of schedule options, which are M-F, MWF and Tues./Thurs. Our monthly tuition rates include: formula, wipes, baby food, breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.

Our Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, Creatively Shine®, is based on the latest research and trends to prepare your children for their educational careers equipping them with cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language skills.
At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool® we believe that a child’s work is play. We teach children age-appropriate lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and purposeful play. We believe that if children enjoy learning at a young age it will carry with them throughout their lives.
Each month we have original projects, provide each classroom with new materials that reflect the monthly theme and provide related activities to support the individual concepts of the “whole child.”

PROGRAM Director
Hello! My name is Tuesdi, and I am so excited to be part of the leadership team as Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Springfield at Claremont.
I have worked in early childhood education since 1997 and have held many positions, but for the last 16 years, I have held a leadership role. Teaching children and watching them grow academically and socially has always been a passion of mine and I absolutely love watching them achieve milestones. I hope to bring many years of knowledge, leadership, and creativity to Little Sunshine’s.
On a more personal note, my husband and I are happily married with five children. We enjoy traveling, going to the lake, baseball games, and socializing with our close friends and family. I personally love the beach and could sit and listen to the waves all day long.
I am looking forward to meeting every one of you and getting to know your family.

Hello! My name is Christina, and I am so excited to be the Assistant Director of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Springfield at Claremont. I have been with Little Sunshine’s since November of 2019. I started as the Lead Infant Teacher and was promoted to Head Teacher in spring of 2021. I have loved every part of my journey through Little Sunshine’s, and I am thrilled to continue making more memories and making a difference!
I have over 10 years of childcare experience working with children of all ages. I love to keep learning about my career and still take early childhood education courses at OTC. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my two boys by building Lego sets, playing outside together, watching movies, and making crafts.

Infant Program (6 weeks – 1 year)
Our highly trained infant teachers partner with you to ensure your baby’s developmental needs are met every step along the way. Our nursery staff create predictable routines and nurturing classroom environments that foster social and emotional development in your baby.
Our toddler classrooms are designed to encourage purposeful play where our teachers guide your child through age-appropriate learning experiences that prepare them with the knowledge they need to be confident as they grow.
Early Preschool Program (2-3 years)

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Today was my son’s last day here, as he is about to start Kindergarten. They have taken immaculate care of him and I highly recommend LSP. All of the staff is great, and my son has learned a lot while being here. I would give six stars if I could!
