Little Sunshine’s Playhouse is recognized within the industry for a concept based on higher standards of service, community visibility, and security. We offer an identity of unrivaled distinction… in our brand image and high-profile architectural presence, and in the level of support and training our franchise system provides the School Operators.
Our secured Kiddie Cams™ allow families to monitor their children via any computer in the world with Internet access. This feature is valuable to grandparents who live far away! The cameras are set up in every classroom and on the playground. They show full color and are secured by user name and password, to restrict access. Kiddie Cams™ also allow you efficient over-site of school operations.
Our LuvNotes™ system is user-friendly, secured platform that allows us to stay in better communication with parents throughout the day. When parents log into the LuvNotes™ system, they will see a classroom snapshot (which will include a list of planned activities for the day, menu details, announcements, etc.) personalized daily reports (with notes on specific activities, disposition/mood, sleeping and eating habits during the day, etc.) and photos and videos of their child(ren). Parents can access this secure information via web interface or any smartphone with internet access.
Our master planned and accredited curriculum, Creatively Shine™, is based off the newest research and trends to prepare young children to enter their educational career equipped with cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language skills. At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse we believe that a child’s work is PLAY! We teach children lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and preplanned play. We know that if children enjoy learning at a young age it will carry with them throughout their lives!
The Dahler’s are the founders and franchisors of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, and the owners of this individual school location. It is the pursuit of “something much better” in early childhood education for their own children that guides and shapes each of the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse schools. Matt and Rochette are dedicated and proud parents of Gillian, Riley and Paxon. Each of their children has thrived with the social and educational components that Little Sunshine’s Playhouse has provided for them from birth to Kindergarten. The entire family cherishes those early years, preschool memories and first friendships.
To say The Dahler’s live, sleep and breathe Little Sunshine’s Playhouse is an understatement. The mission and culture of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse is truly an extension of the family’s values and visa versa. Their passion is to continually redefine the standard of early childhood education and share their love and dedication for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse with other families and children across the country.
Hello! My name is Sarah Segelquist and I am honored to be the Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool, Rogers. I am a mother of one child, as well as an educator. This allows me the awareness of parent’s needs and wants from their children, and equally as important the desired care that is provided is given to their child in their absence.
Children and education have been an important part of my life since 2008 when I began my student teaching at Francis Tuttle Child Development Center. I graduated in 2010 with 1,050 Early Care and Education hours. I then went on to pursue my Child Development Credential. After completing the academic career course work, I began my first child care position at Tulsa University Kindercare as a teacher of one year olds and have worked with every age group in a preschool setting.
In June of 2016 my husband Toby, our little boy Corbin, and I relocated to Northwest Arkansas where I continued my passion at this very center. I absolutely loved working at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool, but was offered an opportunity to gain more experience in the management area of a child care center.
I am proud to say that credentials include: Early Care Master Teacher, Directors Certification, Oklahoma Directors Certification (CECPD), Behavior Guidance, Early Care and Education trainings and continue to further my knowledge and skills toward Early Education Management. I am a continuous learner and made a pledge to myself that I will continue my passion in Early Care Education for the hope of bettering other children’s educational paths!
My name is Kaelan Darnell and I would like to take the time to welcome you to Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool! I am honored to have the opportunity to work for a wonderful company and represent the Rogers, AR location as the Assistant Director.
Being the eldest of six children, my passion for helping others and working with children developed at a very young age. Throughout school, I was a board member of FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) and took courses in Family Consumer Sciences. This prepared me in developing family bonds, setting career goals, and being active in the community.
I began my journey with LSP in 2014 as an assistant teacher. Over a two year span I have had the privilege of learning the role of lead teacher, head teacher, and now Assistant Director. Being a part of the LSP team has definitely been a blessing in my life. Building relationships with the families and watching each child grow and flourish in the classroom are just a couple of the things that make my job amazing. I look forward to the future and cannot wait to help you begin your journey at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse!
On another note, I am the mother of two handsome little boys, Noah and Eli. When I am not working, I am enjoying every little moment spent with my family! They are my biggest motivation for everything I do.
