Our secured Kiddie Cams™ allow families to monitor their children via any computer in the world with Internet access. This feature is valuable to grandparents who live far away! The cameras are set up in every classroom and on the playground. They show full color and are secured by user name and password, to restrict access. Kiddie Cams™ also allow you efficient over-site of school operations.
Our LuvNotes™ system is user-friendly, secured platform that allows us to stay in better communication with parents throughout the day. When parents log into the LuvNotes™ system, they will see a classroom snapshot (which will include a list of planned activities for the day, menu details, announcements, etc.) personalized daily reports (with notes on specific activities, disposition/mood, sleeping and eating habits during the day, etc.) and photos and videos of their child(ren). Parents can access this secure information via web interface or any smartphone with internet access.
Our master planned and accredited curriculum, Creatively Shine™, is based off the newest research and trends to prepare young children to enter their educational career equipped with cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language skills. At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse we believe that a child’s work is PLAY! We teach children lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and preplanned play. We know that if children enjoy learning at a young age it will carry with them throughout their lives!
My name is Joyce Harrington and I am the owner of the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in Ozark, MO. It was through knowing Rochette Dahler (owner and founder of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse) that I became a part of this company. I have a business and accounting background, but that really wasn’t what I loved doing. I saw how happy Rochette was in owning her business and that inspired me to become her first franchisee – I wanted to have the same long-term impact on my community and the children in it.
We opened the doors in Ozark in 2005. I honestly love being part of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and having the opportunity to shape the lives of young children every day! I feel that I have the best preschool in my area and I’m very proud of all of our accomplishments!
On a more personal level, I have three children of my own and seven grandchildren. We have all lived in this area for about 20 years.
“Hello my name is Stacy Shepard. I am the new Director of the LSP Ozark location. I am very excited to be part of a team of educators and leaders who provide quality education and care for their students.
In 2007 I received a Masters Degree in Education specializing in Curriculum and Instruction along with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology in 2005; both from Arizona State University. I started my career teaching second grade at a public Title I school and then transitioned into a fourth grade classroom at a private school. I taught for five wonderful years prior to moving to Springfield. Upon moving to Springfield I taught a summer school aged classroom ranging from children aged five to twelve. Presently, I am completing a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology while earning a Doctoral Degree in Leadership and Education.
Education and psychology have both been passions of mine and I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to apply that experience and knowledge to the LSP community, all while learning from the teachers, children and leadership team on a daily basis. My teaching philosophy includes the importance of teaching to the “whole child” and building on the individual strengths that children bring to the classroom. I look forward to meeting and building relationships with the parents and families of LSP. When accepting this wonderful opportunity as the Director, I knew that LSP is a place where students come first and their cognitive, social/emotional and physical developments are all areas of focus for the curriculum.
On a more personal note, I moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Springfield about two and half years ago and got married in 2013. My husband and I have two dogs and a cat and enjoy spending time with our family and friends. We also enjoy watching and cheering on our favorite sports teams. Go Cardinals!”
