Little Sunshine’s Playhouse is recognized within the industry for a concept based on higher standards of service, community visibility, and security. We offer an identity of unrivaled distinction… in our brand image and high-profile architectural presence, and in the level of support and training our franchise system provides the School Operators.
Our secured Kiddie Cams™ allow families to monitor their children via any computer in the world with Internet access. This feature is valuable to grandparents who live far away! The cameras are set up in every classroom and on the playground. They show full color and are secured by user name and password, to restrict access. Kiddie Cams™ also allow you efficient over-site of school operations.
Our LuvNotes™ system is user-friendly, secured platform that allows us to stay in better communication with parents throughout the day. When parents log into the LuvNotes™ system, they will see a classroom snapshot (which will include a list of planned activities for the day, menu details, announcements, etc.) personalized daily reports (with notes on specific activities, disposition/mood, sleeping and eating habits during the day, etc.) and photos and videos of their child(ren). Parents can access this secure information via web interface or any smartphone with internet access.
Our master planned and accredited curriculum, Creatively Shine™, is based off the newest research and trends to prepare young children to enter their educational career equipped with cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language skills. At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse we believe that a child’s work is PLAY! We teach children lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and preplanned play. We know that if children enjoy learning at a young age it will carry with them throughout their lives!
Scott and Katherine Montgomery are so excited to bring Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool to the Nashville area! Their passion for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse (LSP) began when Katherine was hired as the Director to open the first LSP in the St. Louis area in 2014. Quickly realizing that there was nothing like LSP in the country, they were thrilled to have the opportunity to bring the “castle school” to one of their most favorite cities, Nashville.
Katherine has served children and families in a variety of capacities for approximately 20 years, and she finds great joy in being allowed the opportunity to work alongside teachers and families to see children actualize their fullest potential. Her academic degrees are in Social Work, with a focus on children and families. Specifically, she completed her BSW from Missouri State University and MSSW from The University of Texas (UT) at Austin, with a clinical concentration. More recently, she completed her PhD in Social Work at UT with a focus on evidence-based interventions for children in a school setting. Throughout her educational and professional experience, she was drawn to the undeniable fact that the first 5 years of a person’s life are among the most important in the lifespan.
Between Katherine’s experience and through watching their son, Sam, flourish at LSP, the Montgomery’s have grown to have a deep love and appreciation for quality early childhood education. Since they spend a lot of time in the Franklin area, they recognize that this family-friendly community truly aligns with the values and heartbeat of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool. They are truly excited to bring this caliber of quality care to the Franklin community.
We are now accepting applications from caring and dedicated teachers for both full and part time positions, preferably with an early childhood education background and/or education. Little Sunshine’s Playhouse would like to invite you to be a part of our team in bringing quality childcare to the area.
