Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool is recognized within the industry for a concept based on higher standards of service, community visibility, and security. We offer an identity of unrivaled distinction… in our brand image and high-profile architectural presence, and in the level of support and training our franchise system provides the School Operators.
Our secured Kiddie Cams™ allow families to monitor their children via any computer in the world with Internet access. This feature is valuable to grandparents who live far away! The cameras are set up in every classroom and on the playground. They show full color and are secured by user name and password, to restrict access. Kiddie Cams™ also allow you efficient over-site of school operations.
Our LuvNotes™ system is user-friendly, secured platform that allows us to stay in better communication with parents throughout the day. When parents log into the LuvNotes™ system, they will see a classroom snapshot (which will include a list of planned activities for the day, menu details, announcements, etc.) personalized daily reports (with notes on specific activities, disposition/mood, sleeping and eating habits during the day, etc.) and photos and videos of their child(ren). Parents can access this secure information via web interface or any smartphone with internet access.
Our master planned and accredited curriculum, Creatively Shine™, is based off the newest research and trends to prepare young children to enter their educational career equipped with cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language skills. At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse we believe that a child’s work is PLAY! We teach children lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and preplanned play. We know that if children enjoy learning at a young age it will carry with them throughout their lives!
The Dahler’s are the founders and franchisors of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, and the owners of this individual school location. It is the pursuit of “something much better” in early childhood education for their own children that guides and shapes each of the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse schools. Matt and Rochette are dedicated and proud parents of Gillian, Riley and Paxon. Each of their children has thrived with the social and educational components that Little Sunshine’s Playhouse has provided for them from birth to Kindergarten. The entire family cherishes those early years, preschool memories and first friendships.
To say The Dahler’s live, sleep and breathe Little Sunshine’s Playhouse is an understatement. The mission and culture of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse is truly an extension of the family’s values and visa versa. Their passion is to continually redefine the standard of early childhood education and share their love and dedication for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse with other families and children across the country.
“Hello! My name is Ashlee DiMarzio-Teli, and I’m thrilled to be the Program Director of the first Little Sunshine’s Playhouse to open in metro Atlanta! I’ve been in preschool administration for over 7 years. I began my career as an afternoon teacher, where I absolutely fell in love with working with preschoolers! I moved out of the classroom and into administration where I learned the business side of running a successful preschool program.
I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. After graduating, I ventured out into the corporate world and quickly realized something was missing. Thankfully, I was able to join a wonderful preschool team in East Cobb. I was hired as a Front Office Administrator and then promoted to Assistant Director. I’ve loved every day since; it is a true blessing to be able to get up and enjoy going to work every day! I’m currently pursing my Master in Special Education with a Concentration in Young Children with Developmental Disabilities. It has been a wonderful program, and I have learned so much to bring back into the classrooms.
On a more personal note, I live in Woodstock with my husband, Jon. I love playing tennis in my free time. I am so excited to meet and get to know each and every family at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, Alpharetta!”
“Hi! My name is Lauren Falkner and I am the Co-Assistant Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse Alpharetta. I have been working in childcare since 2010 and transferred from the LSP in St. Louis to Alpharetta. I hold a Bachelor of Art in Human Services with a minor in Psychology from Missouri Baptist University.
My favorite part of working for LSP is providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children, where they feel comfortable to explore and discover new concepts through many different avenues of learning.
I have loved getting to know the metro Atlanta area since moving here. Visiting the Georgia Aquarium is one of my favorite things to do on the weekends! I also love spending time camping and hiking in the North Georgia Mountains.”
“Hi, I am Brandi Bounds, the Co-Assistant Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse Alpharetta. I started my career in Early Childhood Educator in 2010 at a private preschool as an assistant teacher. I spent time in every position and eventually grew to director. I love every aspect of the different dynamic roles in the preschool setting.
I believe it is my responsibility to have a positive relationship with children, families, and colleagues, as well as to appreciate each child’s unique way of learning. My goal is to help children achieve their full potential in a loving, secure, and creative environment.
On a more personal note, I was born and raised in Georgia and have lived in Alpharetta since I was in middle school. I even graduated from Alpharetta High school right around the corner! I went to school for photography but quickly found my passion for childcare shortly thereafter.”
“Hello! I’m Brianne Ward and I have been working with children since I was 13 years old. In the past I have worked with individuals with special needs in and out of the classroom and have been teaching in a classroom setting for 2 years as a Lead Teacher.
I have a degree in Disabilities and Community Service from a small school in Lock Haven, PA. I am originally from New York in a small suburb outside New York City, much like Alpharetta. I have been passionate about teaching and working with children since I was 5 years old, I told my mom I would be a professional babysitter which quickly turned into being a Pre-K teacher.
I love helping children explore their environment and allowing them to learn new concepts. My favorite part about teaching is when a student finally makes a connection or understands the activity and becomes proud of themselves. I love teaching and being around young children and cannot wait to make a difference in all the children’s lives here at LSP, Alpharetta!”
