Little Sunshine’s Playhouse is recognized within the industry for a concept based on higher standards of service, community visibility, and security. We offer an identity of unrivaled distinction… in our brand image and high-profile architectural presence, and in the level of support and training our franchise system provides the School Operators.
Our secured Kiddie Cams™ allow families to monitor their children via any computer in the world with Internet access. This feature is valuable to grandparents who live far away! The cameras are set up in every classroom and on the playground. They show full color and are secured by user name and password, to restrict access. Kiddie Cams™ also allow you efficient over-site of school operations.
Our LuvNotes™ system is user-friendly, secured platform that allows us to stay in better communication with parents throughout the day. When parents log into the LuvNotes™ system, they will see a classroom snapshot (which will include a list of planned activities for the day, menu details, announcements, etc.) personalized daily reports (with notes on specific activities, disposition/mood, sleeping and eating habits during the day, etc.) and photos and videos of their child(ren). Parents can access this secure information via web interface or any smartphone with internet access.
Our master planned and accredited curriculum, Creatively Shine™, is based off the newest research and trends to prepare young children to enter their educational career equipped with cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language skills. At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse we believe that a child’s work is PLAY! We teach children lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and preplanned play. We know that if children enjoy learning at a young age it will carry with them throughout their lives!
D.J. and Emily Fuchs are thrilled to bring a premier and unique childcare program to the great state of Georgia! They recognized a need for innovative and quality care in the Atlanta metro, and will be opening their flagship location in Alpharetta.
Emily is a Wisconsin native and Colorado State University Ram, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. D.J. grew up outside of St. Louis, MO and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Missouri. The two met while working at the same commercial real estate provider and their family currently resides in St. Louis.
Emily and D.J.’s passion for childcare grew from personal experience the day their son, Bradley, started attending Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in University City, MO. The level of service, security, and support provided by Little Sunshine’s was second-to-none. When the Fuchs family learned of the opportunity to be an integral part of spreading the culture of excellence and the value of education, they were honored to dedicate themselves to the organization. Equally as exciting is the opportunity to open the location in Alpharetta, GA and become part of one of the fastest growing, and most exciting, metro areas in the U.S.
With their firsthand experience of being Little Sunshine’s clientele, they understand and appreciate a parent’s desire for their child to grow and learn in a safe and nurturing environment. They also know how important early childhood education is to a child’s continued success as a life-long learner. As owners, Emily and D.J. are eager to deliver an exceptional childcare experience to the Alpharetta community and to lead the way in revolutionizing the preschool industry in Georgia.
Hello! My name is Ashlee DiMarzio-Teli, and I’m thrilled to be the Program Director of the first Little Sunshine’s Playhouse to open in metro Atlanta! I’ve been in preschool administration for over 7 years. I began my career as an afternoon teacher, where I absolutely fell in love with working with preschoolers! I moved out of the classroom and into administration where I learned the business side of running a successful preschool program.
I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. After graduating, I ventured out into the corporate world and quickly realized something was missing. Thankfully, I was able to join a wonderful preschool team in East Cobb. I was hired as a Front Office Administrator and then promoted to Assistant Director. I’ve loved every day since; it is a true blessing to be able to get up and enjoy going to work every day! I’m currently pursing my Master in Special Education with a Concentration in Young Children with Developmental Disabilities. It has been a wonderful program, and I have learned so much to bring back into the classrooms.
On a more personal note, I live in Woodstock with my husband, Jon. I love playing tennis in my free time. I am so excited to meet and get to know each and every family at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, Alpharetta!
Lauren is the Curriculum Coordinator at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, Alpharetta. She has been working in the childcare industry since 2010, and transferred from the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in University City, Missouri to Alpharetta. She holds a degree from Missouri Baptist University.
Lauren’s combination of experience and education strengthens her passion for working with children. Her favorite part of working for LSP is providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children, where they feel comfortable to explore and discover new concepts through many different avenues of learning!
Hello! I’m Brianne Ward and I have been working with children since I was 13 years old. In the past I have worked with individuals with special needs in and out of the classroom and have been teaching in a classroom setting for 2 years as a Lead Teacher.
I have a degree in Disabilities and Community Service from a small school in Lock Haven, PA. I am originally from New York in a small suburb outside New York City, much like Alpharetta. I have been passionate about teaching and working with children since I was 5 years old, I told my mom I would be a professional babysitter which quickly turned into being a Pre-K teacher.
I love helping children explore their environment and allowing them to learn new concepts. My favorite part about teaching is when a student finally makes a connection or understands the activity and becomes proud of themselves. I love teaching and being around young children and cannot wait to make a difference in all the children’s lives here at LSP, Alpharetta!
