"I would like to take this opportunity to welcome your family to our program! Our school has five rooms from the Infant room to the Pre-K room which are maintained by very experienced lead and assistant teachers.

At Little Sunshine's Playhouse, we are a very strong team who work together to create the best and most fun loving preschool experience a child can have. Our curriculum theme changes on a monthly basis, therefore guiding our teachers in a direction that will help when planning their weekly lessons. Each month we have a basic symbol such as a letter, number and shape of the week. This is reviewed repeatedly during that week to help provide a strong foundation for the children as they proceed into the next classroom.

As the Program Director, I strive to help make the preschool experience a strong and positive one for each child and their family! I am a very strong believer in open communication between the families, the teachers and myself and I also encourage parents to be involved in the daily routine of their child's classroom!

"Hi! Welcome to Little Sunshine's Playhouse and Preschool! I am the Program Director and have my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood & Family Education with my emphasis area being in Facility Administration. While obtaining my degree, I completed many practicums and internships with different childcare facilities and worked with a variety of ages. I discovered that I particularly enjoyed my administration classes, therefore decided I would set a goal of becoming a Director for a preschool. I began working at Little Sunshine's Playhouse and Preschool at the Springfield II location in February of 2009 as the Infant teacher. I was promoted to Assistant Director within six months and really enjoyed it. I have been the Director at the Springfield III location since April 2010 and truly love what I do! I have such a passion for children and working with their families.

On a more personal level, I have been married for close to five years to my wonderful husband, Derek, and we have a little boy named Jackson who turned four in June 2011. He is the light of our lives! It is amazing how you can love someone so much! He is currently in our Pre-K class and loves every minute of school. In our free time we enjoy watching St. Louis Cardinal games, float trips and spending a lot of time with family and friends!

"Welcome to Little Sunshine's! I am the Assistant Director at our Springfield III location. I completed my Bachelor's at Evangel University in May 2011 and am currently working on obtaining a Master's Degree in School Counseling. I have been employed at Little Sunshine's Playhouse and Preschool since March 2008. I began as a floater in the Infant classroom and two years later became the Assistant Director. I enjoy building relationships with the families who walk through our doors and watching children grow through the lessons they learn and the experiences they have! I have a passion to truly invest in the lives of children and youth. They always bring light and joy to any situation and never fail to put a smile on my face!

Aside from work, I recently married my wonderful husband, Michael, in June 2011. Together, we have been junior high and senior high youth directors at a United Methodist Church here in Springfield since June 2008, and we absolutely love it! We also enjoy reading, watching baseball and football, being outdoors and spending time with our family!
